Amazon Funds Disbursement

Amazon funds disbursement is the process by which Amazon pays sellers the proceeds of their sales. When an account is deactivated or placed under review, Amazon can withhold that balance for 90 days or longer. Addrox helps you understand why your funds are on hold and builds the case to get them released.

How Amazon disbursements work

When customers buy on Amazon, the platform collects the payment and holds it until the settlement period closes, then transfers the balance to your registered bank account. Before paying out, Amazon deducts its fees and any adjustments:

  • Seller payouts: the proceeds of your sales, transferred to your designated bank account or payment method at each settlement.
  • Fee deductions: referral fees, FBA fulfilment and storage fees, advertising charges and subscription fees are taken before the funds reach you.
  • Refunds and returns: the value of refunded or returned orders is deducted so that customers are reimbursed.
  • Account adjustments: A-to-Z Guarantee claims, chargebacks, customer disputes or suspected fraudulent activity can reduce the amount disbursed.
  • Currency conversion: where your bank account is in a different currency from the marketplace, Amazon converts the funds and may apply conversion fees.

How long does it take to get reimbursed from Amazon?

Timings vary by case. Reimbursements for FBA losses and damages are generally seen within 14–30 days once a case is resolved. Funds withheld after a deactivation are usually reviewed after 90 days, but with a successful appeal or a well-evidenced release request they can be paid out much sooner.

Deactivated with a balance on hold? Amazon will often keep funds to cover potential A-to-Z claims and chargebacks. Addrox prepares the disbursement release request alongside your reinstatement appeal so that both are resolved together.
